Well, not only did it get colder, but true to form just when I wanted to put my raised bed woodwork together – it snowed and quite a lot (for these parts), bringing the usual traffic chaos and disruption.
So my only forays into the garden have been to make sure the birds have food, and to take some photos of the ‘winter wonderland’ (see below). Predictions are that it will stay cold for at least another week so the prospect of the snow melting quickly is remote. I’ll be lucky if I see the the ground let alone do anything in the near future.
The birds should be ok – though plenty of food in the feeders.
Insulated greenhouse?
