Warm Enough To Start Work

Yes temperatures in the mid-teens C already, though I’m sure we still have cold snaps to come. Anyway it was warm enough to tempt me out for a while to do some tidying up and preparation for my first raised bed.

So I did some forking over and weed removal in the are where the first raise bed is to go. Also, some pruning of a couple of the buddleias (one has gone thanks to the snow) and a bit of work clearing away some of the plant growth over the paths.

I may even put together the woodwork for the raised bed in the next few days, weather permitting of course.

Meanwhile, some of the sweet peas in the propagators in the greenhouse have germinated (with the sun and temperatures as they have been over the last few days I think they would have germinated without being in the propagators!)

No photos of the work – but one or two of the bulbs now flowering or near to flowering in the garden:
