Yes, not only some tomatoes & peppers but also some flower seeds have started to produce tiny seedlings.
The score so far is:
In the greenhouse
Broad beans – At least 14 shoots appeared, still a few more will possibly appear. If so then there will be enough to fill the bed.
Some of the salad leaves in a large pot are also appearing.
Some Cosmos seedlings
In the Kitchen
Three ‘De Cayenne’ pepper seedlings
Three ‘Yellow Perfection’ tomato seedlings
Two ‘San Marzano’ tomato seedlings
Two ‘Cherry Cascade’ tomato seedlings
Two ‘Jalapeno’ pepper seedlings
In the lounge
Gazania seedlings in a tray
Sowing
I also had a sowing frenzy yesterday. Planting a bunch of vegetable and flower seeds, in particular:
Cornichon ‘Vert de Paris’
Cucumber ‘Iwa’
Mangetout ‘Baika’
Sunflower ‘Ruby Red’
Sunflower ‘Velvet Queen’
Rudbeckia ‘Rustic Dwarf’
Nemesia ‘National Ensign’
Most of them in the propagators.
Wildlife
Not had chance to go through the trail cams recently but on the lawn the blackbirds seem to trying to sort out territories and some dunnocks I’ve seen close to the lounge window look as if are becoming very amorous.
Not a huge takeup of food on the bird feeders but the mealworms are still being eaten.
I’ve seen one or two queen bumblebees looking for somewhere to nest and I was a couple of bee-flies over the lawn as well, a sure sign of spring.
